There’s “a whole lot a shakin’ going on” with the Women of UCUMC, so, ladies, if you haven’t tried us lately, you owe it to yourself to become involved. Special Events
Our 2006 women's retreat was at the Omega Retreat Center in Boerne, TX. The leaders were Kim Grantham, Misti Mueller, and Christi Deadmond from UCUMC and about 15 women attended. The retreat was entitled Heart Spa. We spent the weekend being pampered, having devotions, and experiencing wonderful music. We came home refreshed, relaxed, and renewed. We look for ward to having you join us in 2007!
In 2005, our women’s retreat was also at Omega. Our facilitator was Becky Haman, a Probationary Member of the Order of Deacons in the UMC, serving in the area of spiritual formation. She helped us learn, understand, and experience our own preferred styles of spirituality. We celebrated our uniqueness and learned to accept and appreciate the uniqueness of others. The culminating worship incorporated all aspects of the weekend and was truly an awesome experience planned by the whole group. We also had wonderful music led by the Love Notes. It was a great time of refreshment, renewal, and reconnecting with God and one another.
