High Priority Opportunities

Leaders and assistants to start small groups and classes year round (including Financial Peace University graduates so that we can offer that course again)

Evangelism Ministry Team seeks additional candy jar visitation team members.  Deliver candy jars to previous week’s Sunday worship guests.  Scheduled for a week at a time. (Contact: Ed Thorpe)

Ongoing Opportunities

Powerpoint operators/programmers and sound system operators for 8:15, 9:30 a.m. or 11 a.m.  We will train!  (Contact: Ed Thorpe)

Lay readers for 8:15 and 11:00 a.m.service; communion stewards for 8:15 and 9:30; 11:00 a.m. (Contact: Chrys Baier)

Children’s Sunday School leaders and co-leaders (especially for the summer).  (Contact: Chrys Baier)

NewComer Mentors: Be a mentor to new members for 6 months after they join the church.  Answer questions, take new members to visit Sunday School, small groups etc., and help them feel part of the UCUMC family.  A NewComers class is offered 5 times a year and we always need more mentors!  (Contact:Ed Thorpe)

Tutors for some of our Youth.  (Contact: Phillip Hefner)

Here I Am Lord - Register for occasional, short term, or one-time projects to cook, serve, clean up, set up, run errands, help in a class or group, provide a ride or food, stuff envelopes, volunteer in the office or whatever is needed (pinch hitters). (Contact: Alison Buck)
