Joining the Community of Faith: Better Together than Apart

Becoming part of a faith community through joining this congregation emphasizes our understanding that we are better together than apart. It is about being connected which is richly scriptural. We encourage joining so that we each stake claim in this spiritual outpost for serving, learning, worship and especially reaching our neighbors. It is an important decision.

How can I learn more? On the first and third Sundays of the month you can attend a “Connection Session” at 9:30 am in Fellowship Hall. It is an opportunity to inquire about this church, meet staff, learn about ways to serve, outreach, obtain a mini introduction to Methodist 101, tour the campus and more. You may also make a decision at that time to say “yes” to join this congregation.

Say Yes to Join in Worship: Or you can fill out the “Join the Church” card found in the pew and bring it, and yourselves, forward during the closing song in worship. If you have questions please call the church office at 659-5555.

FROM THE PASTOR

Universal City United Methodist Church is a community of faith committed to a vision to help others and ourselves to continually discover God’s love. If we do not know the love of God and God’s grace then how do we meet Jesus? Jesus is our first love.

As a community we share Christ through our prayers, service, gifts and witness for we are the hands and feet of Jesus. And by the inspiration of God’s Spirit, we instruct what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The apostle Paul said, "I become all things to all people, in order that I might win some" (1 Corinthians 9:22). We agree with Paul. The gospel is for everyone, and so is the church.

Come and see! I look forward to meeting you as a guest at worship or in ministry opportunities.

Christ is Our Light,
UCUMC Senior Pastor
